What is Homeopathy?
Homeopathy is a system of natural medicine that has been used for over 200 years. Unlike conventional. medicine, which largely relies on pharmaceutical products to suppress unwanted symptoms, homeopathic remedies stimulate the body’s own healing response. Rather than simply masking symptoms, homeopathy looks at the whole person—your physical, mental, and emotional state—to find a remedy that matches your specific needs.
How It Works
Homeopathy is based on the principle of "Like Cures Like." This means that a gross substance that could cause certain symptoms in a healthy person can, when prepared homeopathically, help clear those same symptoms in someone who is unwell.
By using highly diluted, natural substances, homeopathy provides a gentle, yet powerful signal to your body, encouraging it to return to a state of natural balance.
The Arise Difference
Unlike conventional approaches that often use a "one-size-fits-all" treatment, a homeopathic consultation is a deep dive into what makes you, you. We don't just treat a headache or a cough; we support the whole person.
Gentle & Non-Toxic: Safe for all ages and stages, from infants to seniors, during pregnancy and postpartum, and even for your animals.
Individualized: Two people with the same "label" or diagnosis may receive entirely different remedies based on their specific characteristics.
Holistic: One body system cannot be treated in isolation from the rest so homeopathic plans are formulated with a whole person approach. This includes the physical, mental, and emotional picture.

While both use natural substances, they are different. Herbal medicine uses plant parts in their raw or concentrated form to produce a physiological effect. Homeopathy uses highly diluted substances (plants, minerals, animals and much more) to provide a "signal" to the body’s self-healing mechanism. This makes homeopathy exceptionally gentle and non-toxic.

Yes. Because homeopathic remedies are highly diluted and work on an energetic level rather than a chemical one, they do not interfere with conventional drugs. However, I always recommend informing your primary healthcare provider about any new wellness protocols you begin.

At Arise, we utilize Zoom as a platform for consultations. On the morning of your appointment, you will receive a unique zoom link in your email for our appointment. During the appointment I will encourage you to share about your current health need(s) in as much detail as you can. I like to know things like what makes your condition better or worse? I will ask about your health history including dental work. Hearing your story helps me to piece together the whole picture. After our meeting, I will spend time studying and preparing a unique remedy schedule just for you. Once I have it finalized, usually in 3 days, I will email you the plan along with instructions for how to obtain the needed remedies. Remember, remedies are not included in the consultation price. We typically schedule a follow up in 6-8 weeks, but in some cases it may be 12 weeks. I will be available for questions that arise during the remedy course.

The timing varies widely. For acute conditions, relief may happen in minutes, hours, or days. Chronic conditions take more time. We don't usually evaluate progress for at least 6-8 weeks, but even then full resolution may take much longer. However, I will always be looking for the "3 Magic Markers" also known as "DIF." D is for Duration. Are episodes decreasing in duration? If you used to get headaches that lasted for 36 hours, are they still lasting 36 hours or has that time shortened? I is for Intensity. If the pain of your headaches was a 10 of 10, what is it now? Has it moved in the right direction even a little? Any improvement is a good sign. Finally, F is for Frequency. If you used to have headaches twice a week, has that changed? Movement in any of these areas lets us know we are on the right track! Remember the longer you have had an ailment, the longer it takes the body to recover. Progress is the goal for each follow up.

Homeopathic remedies are non-addictive and generally have no side effects in the traditional sense. Occasionally, a person might notice a brief "aggravation" or a slight temporary shift in symptoms as the body begins to rebalance, which is usually a sign that the remedy is working.
